Day 4-Your parents

My parents- well, where can I begin--- They gave me life and for that I am forever grateful!

My Grandfather was in the army so while mom was a teenager they moved to my home town.  There mom met dad who was a born and raised hometown boy.  Mom and Dad quickly fell in love and started their life out a little backwards.  I came first, then the wedding.  About 4 yrs later my brother arrived- followed by mi sister 1 yr later.

Dad was a gravel hauler most of his young adult life.  He worked for a local guy and eventually bought out the business when his boss retired.

Mom was a homemaker- only working when things got tough.

It was hard to have a Dad that work as hard as he did, but it taught us work ethic.  It was nice to have Mom handy whenever we needed her.

Mom and Dad's relationship didn't survive the test of time, but I think it's for the best.  My mom now works a full time job and enjoys life with her grown children and my Dad lives 5 hours aways and comes up to visit every holiday.

Without the teachings and experiences that my parents shared and taught me, I definitely wouldn't be the person I am today.  Thanks Mom and Dad.
